Bandai Namco and ILCA partner to establish Bandai Namco Aces, a new company. Which is headquartered in Shinjuku, Tokyo, Japan.
The nearly created Bandai Namco is 51 percent owned by Bandai Namco and 49 percent owned by ILCA. It will provide the leverage to know-how of both companies to deliver “deep and lasting, high-quality content,” including for the Ace Combat series.
Bandai Namco Aces will be led by ILCA CEO Takuya Iwasaki and Ace Combat producer and director Kazutoki, including for the Ace Combat Series.
Progressive forward, Takuya Iwasaki will lead Bandai Namco Aces as CEO and president of the company(He previously did the same role for ILCA) , while Bandai Namco's Kazutoki Kono, a long-serving producer and director on the Ace Combat franchise, will assume the role of vice president.
It's unclear what the new company Bandai Namco Aces will be working on, but as the company stated that it'll "continue to deliver high quality content," including for the Ace Combat series. formed in 2010 initially as a video production company, but has extended out into games in these recent years. Prominently, the company worked on Game Freak's Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl remake which launched last year.
Takuya Iwasaki stated that “With the cooperation of Bandai Namco, we would like to pass on the knowledge we have cultivated so far to a new generation in order to further evolve this series that remains in the history of games,”
"The whole team will do their best to give back to Namco, which I have been admiring since I was a child, so I would appreciate your support. Come young, to the sky! "
It also includes new games in the Ace Combat series, as It was announced last year. ILCA has recently contributed to the development of Ace Combat 7 and according to its website's source, it’s also working with Ace Combat developer Project Aces on “next-generation projects using the Unreal Engine 5”.
ILCA, whic was established in 2010 as a CG video production company, has contributed to the development of dozens of high-profile games including Nier: Automata, Dragon Quest XI and Code Vein.It also worked on Pokémon Home, the Nintendo Switch and mobile app which allows for cloud storage of Pokémon characters.The next Pokémon titles, Scarlet & Violet, will be released for Switch on November 18, 2022.Code Vein.That includes new games in the Ace Combat series, as was announced last year.
